-CP Pistons are one of the most trusted names in the industry, and for good reason. Their extensive shelf catalog provides the user with many of the options that you'd normally be resigned to going to a custom piston for. Their standard offering already includes Dual Pin Oilers - Providing double the amount of oil to the wrist pin, radiused valve reliefs, and the pin fitting final hone on the wrist pin bore. They even include an Accumulator Groove as a standard option. This provides a small pocket for the combustion gasses to collect after the first ring, reducing ring flutter and providing a better seal allowing more downward force on the piston A.K.A. - make more power. All pistons come balanced within one gram. Standard wrist pins with locks, and a piston ring set are included. Upgraded wrist pins in .200 and .250 wall thickness are optional in the drop down menu below.
-Wiseco leads the performance aftermarket by producing the highest quality forged pistons for domestic automobiles, sport compact and racing applications right here in the USA. Wiseco is unique because we forge all of our own pistons in house, and produce all of our own forge tooling right here in the USA. This allows us to control all aspects of our manufacturing process from raw bar to skirt coated finished parts.
-Eagle H Beam Rods: Rated up to 600hp-
All Eagle H-beam rods are forged from certified 4340 chromoly steel. While a lot of companies make rods from this material, if you pay close attention, you will notice not all 4340 is the same. For instance, to be classified as "4340 steel" certain alloying elements must be present in certain percentages. AISI/SAE specifications call for 1.65% to 2.00% nickel content. While this seems like a small difference, understand that this is almost an 18% variation. 4340 steel with 1.65% nickel will act a little differently than 4340 steel with 2.00% nickel content. This is just one of many alloying elements involved in creating 4340 steel. Through extensive material testing, Eagle works closely with the foundry we use to achieve a much tighter tolerance of all alloying elements to our specific requirements. Along with this, the heat treatment and tempering process used is vital to producing a stong steel. While exactly what we do is a closely guarded secret, all of this attention to detail results in a stronger and much more consistent material. Our "4340" steel routinely tests 10-15% stronger than "typical" SAE/AISI spec 4340 steel. Another important design feature is all Eagle H-beam rods are manufactured from a 2 piece forging. This is significant because it enhances the strength of the rod cap by orienting the "grain" of the metal with the direction of stress. The stress exerted on the cap is perpendicular to the stress on the beam. Forged metal, like wood, has a grain "flow".
-Manley H Beams: Rated up to 700hp-
Manley "H" Beam connecting rods are manufactured from 4340 forgings to the same exacting standards developed and approved by our original equipment customers. There is a vast difference in quality between a Manley "H" Beam and the "other" inexpensive H-Beams on the market. Weight matched to +/- 1.5 grams. Perfectly round big and small ends. Bend and twist is tightly controlled.
-Manley I Beams: Rated up to 1000hp-
Manley Pro Series connecting rods are forged from aircraft quality 4340 vacuum degassed material. Each rod is fully machined in the Manley Lakewood, NJ factory to the highest standards. Our signature "Turbo Tuff" design combines the appropriate weight and rugged strength for ultimate horsepower applications. Each rod is shot peened after machining and magnafluxed. Bores are round and without taper. Bend and twist is tightly controlled. Cap fasteners are 3/8" APR 2000 cap screws.
-Carrillo Lightweight Pro A: Rated up to 600hp-
