Speedfactory Racing did a good thing. Upon finding faults in their original Billet B series shift forks they did a recall of all affected units. They took the time (and dealt with the expense) to make it right.
After extensive testing and engineering review, we’re pleased to share that the updated Billet B-Series FWD Shift Forks are now back in stock and available.
What’s Changed
Following our investigation, our engineering team implemented improvements to the manufacturing process to improve consistency and eliminate the embrittlement condition of the fork rods identified in the previous batch. This was originally believed to be related to the welding process, but further testing revealed that it was not related to the welding but rather an error during heat treatment of the fork rods themselves. The revised forks have been thoroughly tested to ensure they meet the durability and performance standards expected from SpeedFactory Racing products. We’ve also added a chromium electroplating process to reduce friction and enhance wear resistance.
