Honda B Series Road Race Axles

Honda B Series Road Race Axles

After years of learning what works and what doesn't we try to keep with what we know. The OEM Honda B Series axles are the best things to start with. Avoid the China specials that are all over the market if possible. The problem is finding good OEM Honda cores is incredibly difficult as most of been exchanged at local auto parts stores over the years. So when a set pops up for sale jump on it. You can never have too many of these. This pair just arrived and we will prep them for road race use. What does...

They can't all be home runs ...

They can't all be home runs ...

Professional sports has averages for a reason. Not every day can be the best day ever. The same is true for track days. After a great run of trouble free weekends with the Integra Type R at the track we were bound to have an off day and that was this past Friday. We traveled up to The FIRM in Starke, FL with friends to test the newly installed MCS 2 Way dampers we just installed on the Type R. Drag and Drive EG Civic

Drag and Drive EG Civic

We recently had a nice discussion on our Facebook and Instagram pages in regard to a hypothetically project for a Drag and Drive Civic EG. Specifically, we used the idea of our '92 Civic CX as the base for the project. The goals are to run mid to high 11s, maintain A/C, be reliable and need a minimal amount of maintenance.  There are a lot of different directions a project like that can take. It was fun discussing ideas with our community including hearing about your own firsthand experiences with setups.  Turbocharge the B16 engine? Solid option since that is...

I'm a Michelin Man ....

I'm a Michelin Man .... but sometimes you gotta try a different Fleva. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is one of the best all around street tires on the market in years. It is quiet, has plenty of grip even for the track and is wonderful in the rain. The close 2nd for me is the Continental ExtremeContact Sport tire. You want a street tire that is able to gap people in wet conditions that Continental tire is it.  Whenever possible those are my 2 go to brands for tires. But with the smaller selection on the market in 15"...

Bring Back 14" and 15" Wheels

Bring Back 14" and 15" Wheels

I still appreciate the small wheel and tire combos that we can run on our 1990s Honda's. These 14" and 15" wheel and tire combos offer a great look, lightweight and budget friendly. If any of you have tried to take modern 18"+ size wheels and tires on/off a car you know they can be a pain due to their size and weight. Storage of them is a pain when you have multiple sets and of course the cost of the larger tires hurts the budget.  We don't have all the great tire options in the smaller sizes that we...
