I am confident enough to make a prediction. Within the next 20 years you will see an EG Hatchback Civic sell for $40k. Seems outlandish but it is not as far fetched as you may think. The good cars to start with are getting more difficult to find. Paint and body work can be exorbitantly expensive and obtaining replacement moldings, exterior and interior parts is being driven by supply and demand. IE – getting very expensive.
Consider this and then add in the generation of enthusiasts coming into their prime of life with disposable income and financial whirlwinds creates a seller’s marketplace. Good cars will sell for good money. Great restorations with sell for obscene money. This pattern has already shown itself with other manufacturers and specialty shops building dream cars. It will be the same for Golden Era Hondas. It is going to be a great time.
