Professional sports has averages for a reason. Not every day can be the best day ever. The same is true for track days. After a great run of trouble free weekends with the Integra Type R at the track we were bound to have an off day and that was this past Friday. We traveled up to The FIRM in Starke, FL with friends to test the newly installed MCS 2 Way dampers we just installed on the Type R. It was supposed to be a relaxed day at the track playing with suspension settings. In the 2nd session of the day the engine decided to shut off. Not sure why, we troubleshooted what we could at the track but couldn't get it to fire again. Being this was simply a fun day at the track with friends we packed it up early and had some good laughs still.Â
That is how it goes. You have to get through the strike outs in order to enjoy the home runs. We will continue to diagnose the engine at the shop and get it fixed. This is the nature of high performance cars that have ultimately had every bolt touched on them over the last couple of years.Â
A bad day at the track is still a pretty good day.
