I am a fan of a good lightweight 14" wheels. Especially on the Golden Era Honda Civics. They just look right to me. I especially love the 7lb Volk CE28n wheels on our 1992 Honda Civic CX. But one major drawback of small wheels is limited space for good brakes.
We recently found a solution from Fastbrakes that we are going to give a shot. This is a custom kit utilizing the Wilwood Powerlite 4 piston caliper, a custom bracket to fit the smaller 38mm bearing Civic spindle and mated to the OEM 10.3" Integra brake rotors.
The initial installation went great and we have plenty of clearance with them behind our 14" Volk Racing wheels. We test fitted the popular 13x7.5" Lenso VPD Drag Wheels too and have found them to clear the caliper with the use of a 5mm spacer.
The look and street performance has been great. The track performance has yet to be determined but we will report back once we have more data. Stay up to date by watching our social media channels.
