Oh yeah...We Won the IFO Gainesville All Motor Pro Class !!!

February 27th, 2011 the team traveled to Gainesville, Florida to complete in the All Motor Pro Class at the Import Face Off Event. The team brought the B Series All Motor Civic EG to the event. Trailer issues on the way to the track caused the team to miss the first 2 qualifying rounds and the 3rd round qualifying pass the team made was ugly. The car developed a lurching problem while on the 2 step to launch the car that caused inconsistencies in getting the car to leave the starting line efficiently. 1st round eliminations netted a 12.0 @ 116 mph pass and that is all that was needed to move into the next round. The finals pitted All Motor Pro top contender Marc Podkowik in the other lane. Podkowik has historically had a much faster car than IPG but anything can happen in drag racing. Podkowik had issues getting his car down the track and IPG took the win with a 11.9 @ 116 mph pass. As we have always said, getting to the track and giving your car a shot at winning is the hardest part. You have to be there to have a shot and we proved it with our Win at the February 2011 IFO Event. After the trial and tribulations that it took to get the car to the track the win was very satisfying and it was Steak for the Boys !!!!
