Work is coming along on the Acura Integra Type R Road Race car project. Looking at having this as a long term race car has made some decisions harder than others in the sense that the goal is to do it right the first time and have it last for years to come. Interior paint options on race cars are always difficult and it is a job that no one wants to do. After prepping and priming we decided to stick with a Honda theme and chose the Honda Polished Grey Metallic paint color throughout the interior. In house constructor Tom Creen outdid himself with a fabulous finished product that includes a clear coat to preserve the work. The color offers the perfect compliment to the '00-01 Integra Type R Gunmetal roots and works nicely with the faux carbon interior parts.

Knowing that the plan was to use specific parts of the interior still having the contrast of the black interior pieces and grey paint offers a classic look. The center console and under dash trim pieces have all been retained for a finished look on the inside.

This is a race car first so safety and functionality are high priorities. The Sparco Circuit Halo race seat will be used in conjunction with a Sparco 6pt Hans racing harness and we have both mandatory left side and optional right side window nets to complete the interior. The Sparco steering wheel and quick disconnect have also been added to help with ease of use.

We are getting into a final push on this project as there are some event dates coming up very soon that I would like to participate in. 90% of the undercar work is already done as far as suspension and maintenance work and currently we are full force on getting the engine rebuild done to continue along with the project.
