BRZ Track Car

There are 2 track weekends under the BRZ's belt and it has proven to be quite impressive so far. The majority of my on track experience is in FWD vehicles so I expected a bit of a learning curve getting into the BRZ but the confidence the chassis gives you expedited this process. With 360 track miles on the car so far there is not 1 thing that I would change. Both weekends have been run at Sebring International Raceway. Most recently I ran with NASA and picked up over 4 seconds per lap from the first time out. My...

Chris Dutkewycz's 9 Second H22 EK

Working at IPG is fun. We get to be involved in an industry that we are passionate about day in and day out. In addition to building and racing our own cars we get the opportunity to work with a wide array of customers around the world. Chris Dutkewycz is one of those people. It is always enjoyable to be associated with an enthusiast and racer that has a never say die attitude and keeps coming back for more to meet their goals. Chris purchased this 1996 Honda Civic Hatchback from us as a rolling chassis and in turn finished...

CRX New Personal Best - 9.75 @ 144mph

The IPGparts.com Race Team recently ran a new personal best for ET and MPH with the All Motor CRX, a 9.75 @ 144mph blast down the quarter mile at Orlando Speedworld during a test session. The car was equipped with a Prayoonto Racing 102mm x 89mm K Series Engine mated to a PPG Gearset. Having recently dyno'ed at a horsepower # significantly higher than previously recorded the team was excited to get to the track and see what the new combination was capable of. Right off the trailer the team ran the 9.75 @ 144mph pass. Engine issues halted the...

Why I Bought a BRZ

Ever since they were released from the Toyota and Subaru camps I have had an interest in the BRZ and FR-S. Whenever I ran into them at a track event I always mentioned to whoever I was with that I will own one of those cars one day. I just knew from their initial introduction that it was going to be a platform that I wanted to toy with and about 2 weeks ago I pulled the trigger on a 2015 Subaru BRZ. What ultimately lead me down the path was conversations that I had with existing owners and their...

A Man, A Car, A Track Day

We have done well here at IPG and occasionally we get caught up in what we do have here at the shop available to us and forget how much fun keeping things simple is. When it comes to our race cars we try and run by the Keep It Simple Stupid mentality. It works for us. Our agenda consists of laying out a plan and going step by step to meet our next goal. Once there we reassess and work towards a new goal. This leads me to the source of this blog and it involves my personal 1998 Integra...
