Motorsports Passion by James Innes IPG is based on a passion for motorsports. Not just the way that companies use that term for marketing jargon but in the way that we live and breathe motorsports. Any given week or weekend you will find the IPG crew at the drag strip, road course or even go karting during free moments. It could be testing our race cars or just running our street cars during an open session but whatever it is the passion for motorsports is ingrained in us and that is what leads us to be great at what we...

It has been a very busy first couple of weeks for the IPGparts.com Race Team as they attended the first 2 SCCA Majors events of the year at Homestead Speedway and Sebring Intl Speedway the past 2 weekends. Only having 2 test sessions with the new 2012 Honda Civic Si Race Car built for the STL class left a bit of doubt in the back of everyone's mind as to how the car would perform. Driver James Innes had never raced at Homestead Speedway so in addition to feeling out the new car a new track had to be learned...

Some morning brake fade issues were sorted by removing the front wheel fender liners as a quick fix and driver James Innes was able to run a 40 minute hard stint on the car without any issues or concerns. The team plans to return to the FIRM on January 3rd, 2015 for a 2nd test...

The team took 2 cars to compete with the CRX falling in the 10.0 Index Class and the Turbo Civic running the True Street Class. Ultimately there were 2 missions for the event. To capture a 9 second time slip with the CRX and an 8 second time slip with the Turbo Civic. Arriving early for Thursday testing proved to be a more difficult day than expected. A dead battery and digital gauge cluster issues with the CRX didn't allow it...

The IPGParts.com Race Team headed to Gainesville, Florida this past Sunday October 5th, 2014. The All Motor CRX fell into the All Motor Pro class where it qualified # 1 with a 10.28 @ 131mph pass and continued that trend through eliminations taking the win in the final round with a 10.33 @ 132mph pass. This not only captures driver Tom Creen his first heads up class win but also is the best ET and MPH with the CRX to date. The story was a bit rougher for the SFWD Civic. An intermittant power cut issue off the 2 step...
