Part 2 of our Acura Integra project has commenced and that included basic suspension modifications for the car and then we took it back to the track to compare lap times. The first installment had us taking a basically stock 2001 Acura Integra to the track and turning laps in it all day long to express how simple it is to actually get onto the track with your car. The long journey is coming to and end as the build process of the 2012 Honda Civic Si is nearing completion. The team traveled to the FIRM in Starke, Florida recently for the initial test session and everything went about as good as it could. Some morning brake fade issues were sorted by removing the front wheel fender liners as a quick fix and driver James Innes was able to run a 40 minute hard stint on the car without any issues or concerns. We have put in some work on the World Challenge Integra Type R Race Car. Lots more to do still but we are headed in the right direction. It is always fun to see what you find when you tear down a race car that you didn't build. And in this case we had fun tearing down a race car that had a blown up engine that we didn't blow up so that was interesting as well. Engine removal was straight forward.
