All Motor Pro Winner at IFO Gainesville

99mm k series all motor crx all motor eg General IPG IPG Parts IPG Racing IPGParts.com sfwd civic turbo del sol

The IPGParts.com Race Team headed to Gainesville, Florida this past Sunday October 5th, 2014. The All Motor CRX fell into the All Motor Pro class where it qualified # 1 with a 10.28 @ 131mph pass and continued that trend through eliminations taking the win in the final round with a 10.33 @ 132mph pass. This not only captures driver Tom Creen his first heads up class win but also is the best ET and MPH with the CRX to date. The story was a bit rougher for the SFWD Civic. An intermittant power cut issue off the 2 step and while shifting into 3rd gear didn't let the team run the #'s that were expected coming into the event. Qualifying on the bottom of the ladder meant there was some tough competition to get through eliminations. Driver Robert Mapps did his job putting almost 4/10th's on his opponent on the tree but the power cut in 3rd gear allowed the other car to catch up and just eek out the win by 2/10th's. A disappointing race day to say the least but the team is determined to come back stronger than ever going forward. Other IPGParts.com team news had Jose Bello piloting the GP1 Racing All Motor Civic sponsored by IPGParts.com and he was able to run a solid 10.3 @ 134mph pass showing the horsepower is there to get those quicker ET's they are after. And Wray Gillette finally put a solid # on his Forced Induction Sport (FIS) Honda Del Sol running a 10.7 @ 134 mph pass to qualify on the top part of the ladder. Wray was able to get through round 1 eliminations but was knocked out in round 2. All in all it was a great weekend. Good friends and good competition. The team will next start prepping for the World Cup Finals at Maryland International Raceway on November 7th-9th, 2014.
