16 cars were in attendance to compete in the heads up All Motor drag racing class. After recent testing and car updates things were looking promising for the crew as the qualifying rounds were set to commence. Tom Creen piloted the Honda CRX throughout the weekend and ran a solid 9.77 @ 143mph pass in the 3rd round of qualifying to fall into the #5 spot. The JBR Engines powered Honda CRX also secured the top MPH for the qualifying rounds showing the horsepower the car had on tap.
Being one of only 2 Honda CRX's in the field of 16 proves to be difficult at times as the chassis isn't ideal for what it is being used for but overcoming those obstacles continues to be at the forefront of development. Picking up a hundredth here and a hundreth there along with adding some more horsepower through testing Creen has moved towards the front of the field during the course of 2019.
Sunday brought elimination rounds as Creen ran consistently with a 9.82 and 9.84 to move through the first 2 rounds. The semifinals pitted the team against #1 qualifier Adam Hall who continues to show he is putting the complete package together this year with a stellar reaction time and car performance being too much to run down. Overall it was a solid weekend for the team and partners as the on track performance is starting to show and the feedback and conversations in the pits with the spectators is wonderful. Next the team travels back to Maryland Intl Raceway the first week of November for the seasons largest event, the World Cup Finals.
