Turbocharged Triumph: IPGparts’ K-Series Acura Integra Hits the Track

The journey to a successful drag racing night isn’t always a straight line—at least not in the pits. But, when you’re behind the wheel of a turbocharged K-series Acura Integra, patience and precision pay off. Our recent test and tune night at the drag strip might have only given us two hits, but each one brought us closer to the benchmark performance we’ve been aiming for.

After a long road of planning, building, and fine-tuning, we were thrilled just to get our Integra off the trailer and onto the track. For the first pass, our focus was on the fundamentals: making sure the car ran straight, the brakes responded perfectly, and that we were comfortable with every element of the car. Despite keeping it cautious, this “shakedown pass” yielded an impressive 11.0 @ 130 mph. Not bad for the first run out, but as always, we had a few things to dial in.

After analyzing the pass, we decided the key to unlocking a better ET was extending each gear shift to a higher RPM. It was a simple adjustment but one that could make all the difference. And it did. On our second and final run of the night, the Integra hit a rock-solid 10.76 @ 131 mph. That’s the magic ET range we have been chasing —a reliable, low-maintenance 10-second quarter mile car that does exactly what it’s designed to do: deliver serious fun.

What’s next? More passes to prove the consistency of this setup, continuing to refine, and most importantly, enjoying every second of the ride. Racing isn’t just about hitting the perfect number. It’s about the process and pushing boundaries—two things we know all too well here at IPGparts.

Stay tuned as we push this project further and aim for more incredible nights at the track.
