The IPG All Motor car made its 2nd showing this past weekend at the Bradenton, Florida Import Face Off January 2011 Event. And this time we have some good news to show for it.
There was a small field in the All Motor Pro Class but this still allowed the team to get in 5 1/4 mile passes over the course of Sunday that brought back valuable data to continue to progress with the car. An 11.77 @ 117.06 MPH qualifed the car in the 3rd position and was the best pass of the day for both ET and MPH. First round qualifying was a bright spot when driver James Innes pulled off a Hole Shot win when his 11.84 @ 114 mph pass beat his competitors 11.71 @ 115 mph thanks to a .031 Reaction Time. The final round against Marc Podkowik was for sure going to be a tough battle and a red light start on the hit ended any chance of winning the event. Runner-up in the first completed event with the new car is exciting though.
Overall the weekend was positive and the car is progressing in the right direction. There are several areas where more potential is evident and the team is excited to get the car back to the track for more testing shortly.
Here is a video of 2 of the racing rounds and a couple of pictures a as well.
