Sometimes you find one of those deals that is just too good to pass up. This was the case this past week when we ran into this great new project car.
So you see the exterior pictures and don't think much of it but what lurks beneath the hood of this beast is something that we have been looking to tackle for quite some time now and this car gives us a huge step in that direction. As much as I love the B series powerplant and continue to develop and build those engines the K series engines are definitely the wave of future growth.
We have been in the market for a K series powered vehicle for the last couple of months and this one not only fits the bill, but blows any idea of what we wanted to start with out of the water. Basic Exterior but a 500+ Horsepower K24/K20 Powerplant under the hood will surely surprise quite a few. The basic rundown is a K24 Block with CP Pistons and IB Connecting Rods, K20a2 Cylinder Head, Full Race GT35r Turbo Kit, Full Blown Twin intake Walbro Fuel Pumps, RC 1200cc Injectors, Hondata KPro. So far as tuned by the previous owner this setup has made about 450 whp on pump gas.
So you ask yourself what are we going to do with it? We are going to continue to push the the setup a bit more and probably throw some new parts into the mix as we start checking out what we can offer the K series market. Stay tuned, this is going to be kept as a legitimate street car that we can drive around if we choose that will also have incredible track potential. We are very excited about this one !!!
